EUROVOLLEY U17 W: Italian U17 Women’s Volleyball Team Clinches European Championship Title

The U17 European Championship in Vrnjacka Banja, Serbia, has drawn to a victorious close for the Italian U17 women’s team. They outperformed Türkiye in the gold medal final match held at the Sportska Hala, winning 3-1 with set scores of 25-12, 25-8, 21-25, 25-19.

Italy’s path to the championship was characterized by an impressive performance, consistently improving throughout the tournament. Six victories against a single defeat to Croatia marked their initial run. Subsequent wins over Greece in the semi-finals and Türkiye in the finals confirmed their dominance in the competition.

This victory has added the fourth gold medal to Italy’s trophy cabinet in this category, reinforcing their status as one of Europe’s top teams.

The competition also saw Croatia securing the third place, having won the bronze medal match against Greece. The Croatians triumphed with a scoreline of 3-1 (25-21, 22-25, 25-21, 25-10), thereby filling the last spot on the championship podium.
