In Monza, during the second match of Group B, the women’s volleyball team of Bosnia and Herzegovina emerged victorious, defeating Switzerland 3-2. The set scores were 16-25, 25-15, 23-25, 25-17, 17-15, culminating after 123 minutes of intense play. Despite trailing behind the Swiss lead of 1:0 and 2:1, the team, under Serbian coach Stevan Ljubičić, showcased resilience and courage. Bosnia and Herzegovina led 12-8 in the dramatic fifth set, ultimately sealing the match with an attack from Dajana Bošković for a final score of 17-15. Captain Edina Begić scored 18 points, and Iman Isanović was instrumental in a complete turnaround, contributing 13 points. France Dominates Host Estonia
The French team kicked off their EuroVolley 2023 campaign with a commanding victory over host nation Estonia, taking the match in straight sets (3-0) in Tallinn. The French players delivered an exceptional performance that lasted just over 1 hour and 20 minutes, with set scores of 25-8, 25-19, 25-21.
