In a dominant display, Turkish powerhouse Eczacibasi Dynavit decisively beat Ukrainian team SC Prometey Dnipro 3-0 in the 2024 CEV Champions League Playoff. The match, held in Romania, saw Eczacibasi control the game throughout, winning with set scores of 25-15, 25-13, and 25-16.
Jovana Stevanovic, contributing 12 points, emerged as the key player, securing the title of Most Valuable Player. Tijana Boskovic was the top scorer with 13 points, while Alexa Gray chipped in with an additional 10 points for Eczacibasi. The team’s strong defense was highlighted by their impressive tally of 12 blocks and 8 points from serves.
Stevanovic, reflecting on the victory, emphasized the team’s unity and collective effort. “We played as a team, not individually. Our unity is our strength,” she said.
The next playoff match between Eczacibasi Dynavit and SC Prometey Dnipro is scheduled for February 7th at the TVF Burhan Felek Vestel Volleyball Hall in Istanbul.
