Igor Gorgonzola Novara clinched the CEV Challenge Cup 2024, overcoming Neptunes Nantes with a decisive victory. Following a 3-0 win at home, the Italian team, led by coach Bernardi, showcased their dominance by securing the title.
The match, held at the Salle Sportive Métropolitaine REZE in Nantes, began with the home team taking the first set 25-23, fuelled by the vociferous support of the local crowd. However, Novara, led by the exceptional Vita Akimova who scored 25 points and was named the MVP of the finals, quickly regained their footing. With a dominant performance in the subsequent sets, Novara clinched the match, adding yet another trophy to their illustrious cabinet.
