PGE Projekt Warszawa sweeps ACH Volley Ljubljana 3-0, while Vero Volley Monza secures a 3-1 victory over Fenerbahçe in the CEV Champions League Pool Stage.
PGE Projekt Warszawa showed no signs of slowing down as they cruised to a dominant 3-0 win (25-23, 25-13, 25-17) over ACH Volley Ljubljana. The Polish team, already at the top of their group, extended their unbeaten run to four matches, maintaining their perfect record in the CEV Champions League.
From the first whistle, Warszawa was in complete control. While the first set was close, ending 25-23, the hosts stepped up their game in the second, completely outclassing their Slovenian opponents 25-13. The third set followed a similar script, as Warszawa sealed the win 25-17 to continue their dominance in the group stage.
Vero Volley Monza Triumphs Over Fenerbahçe in a Four-Set Battle
In another exciting clash, MINT Vero Volley Monza claimed an impressive 3-1 victory (25-23, 25-21, 23-25, 25-20) against Fenerbahçe Medicana Istanbul in front of their home fans at the Opiquad Arena.
The Italian side started strong, overcoming early pressure from the Turkish visitors to win the opening set 25-23. The second set was equally intense, but Monza held their nerve, breaking away late to secure a 25-21 win.
Fenerbahçe bounced back in the third set, recovering from Monza’s fast start to edge the frame 25-23. However, Monza wasn’t about to let the match slip away. With Arthur Szwarc leading the charge, they stormed through the fourth set, closing it out 25-20 to claim another crucial three points in Pool B.
Szwarc was unstoppable on the night, scoring 24 points and earning the MVP title. Zaytsev (17 points) and Beretta (10 points) also played key roles for Monza. Monza’s fourth consecutive win keeps them firmly at the top of their group.
