CS Volei Alba Blaj secured a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Vasas Óbuda in the first leg of the CEV Cup semifinal at Érd Aréna.
The match saw both teams trading sets in a closely contested battle. Vasas took the first (26-24) and third sets (25-9), while Alba Blaj responded by winning the second (19-25) and fourth sets (18-25). In the decisive fifth set, the Romanian side capitalized on key moments to claim the win 15-9. Yelyzaveta Ruban (23 points) and Monika Krasteva (19 points) led Alba Blaj scorers, while Taylor Bannister (28 points) and Fatoumatta Sillah (19 points) were Vasas’ top scorers.
