
Igor Gorgonzola Novara dominated THY Istanbul 3-0 (25-23, 25-18, 26-24) in the CEV Cup semifinal first leg. MVP Lina Alsmeier led with 15 points, while Novara controlled key moments despite losing Tolok to injury in the third set.
THY fought back in the final set, but Bosio and Mims sealed Novara’s win. Coach Bernardi praised the result but warned of a tough return leg in Istanbul.
