JSW Jastrzębski Węgiel triumphed over Halkbank Ankara with a 3:1 win to claim third place in the CEV Champions League. Missing two important players, Norbert Huber and Jakub Popiwczak, the Polish team still delivered a standout performance.
They captured the first two sets (25:22, 26:24), stumbled in the third (20:25), but bounced back strongly to dominate the fourth (25:18). This marks JSW’s fourth Champions League medal, capping off their season on a high note under coach Marcelo Mendez.
The tournament now heads to its grand finale, where Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie will take on Sir Sicoma Monini Perugia.
