Qatar’s Cherif Younousse and Ahmed Tijan made a thunderous return to the sand, seizing gold at the 2025 Beach Pro Tour’s Xiamen Challenge. In their season debut, the Olympic bronze medalists delivered a flawless performance, conceding just one set over six matches.
In the final, they overpowered Switzerland’s Krattiger & Dillier with a dominant 2-0 (21-14, 21-14) victory. This marks their first Tour gold since 2022 and their third overall.
Swiss qualifiers Krattiger & Dillier, seeded 24th, impressed again with back-to-back silver finishes after their success in Valencia.
France’s Rotar & Gauthier-Rat completed the podium, claiming bronze after a solid 2-0 (21-11, 21-12) win over Norway’s Mol & Mol. It’s their first medal as a team, backed by Rotar’s eight kill blocks.
“This is just the start,” said Cherif. “We’re ready to push for more.”
