Allianz Milano took a big step toward the CEV Volleyball Challenge Cup semi-finals with a convincing 3–0 away victory over Steam Hemarpol Politechnika Częstochowa in the first leg of the quarter-finals.
Milano controlled the match from start to finish, showing greater efficiency at the net and from the serve line while defending with intensity against a well-known and experienced Polish side. The hosts stayed competitive early in each set but struggled to convert key moments, allowing the visitors to pull away when it mattered most.
Head coach Roberto Piazza praised his team’s focus and determination, noting their ability to stay disciplined and deliver the best possible result in a demanding away fixture.
