Fenerbahçe Medicana booked the place in the CEV Cup quarterfinals with a confident 3-0 win over Dutch side Orion Stars at the Burhan Felek Vestel Volleyball Hall.

After securing a 3-1 victory in the first leg, the Istanbul club left no room for doubt in the return match, taking the sets 25-15, 25-21 and 25-22 to complete a dominant playoff performance.
Fenerbahçe set the tone early, using strong serve and disciplined defense to overwhelm Orion Stars in the opening set. While the second and third sets were more competitive, the home side stayed calm in important moments.
Luka Marttila and Adis Lagumdzija led the scoring for Fenerbahçe with 10 points apiece, while Orion’s standout performer was Wouter Ter Maat, who delivered a match-high 17 points despite his team’s defeat.
Head coach Taner Atik praised his team’s collective effort after the match.
“We’re happy to be in the quarterfinals, especially after playing good volleyball,” Atik said. “Our block defense and counterattacks worked very well. The players are giving everything to show their potential, and we’re starting to see the results.”
Burutay Subaşı also highlighted the team’s recent progress.
“We had some tough moments earlier in the season, but we’re improving,” he said. “Winning 3-0 was important. Now we’ll focus on our league match against Altekma.”
Fenerbahçe will face Slovenia’s CH Volley Ljubljana in the quarterfinal round in early March.
