Head coach Camilo Placì said: “This is going to be a tough game. Knowing what kind of a roster the Italians can rely on, we have to be extremely careful and stick with the game plan we have developed. However, we have very talented home and foreign players in our roster as well, so they will have to find the right solutions to stop us too. Baskent Volleyball Hall will certainly witness a real Volleyball party with some of the world’s best players fighting each other while standing on opposite sides of the net. I expect a high-quality game and we are ready to fight.”
Halkbank team captain Ivan Miljkovic said: “This match comes at a difficult moment for us. PERUGIA have managed to sign many good players as they have set the highest goals for their participation in the 2017 CEV Volleyball Champions League. We will try to use the home-court advantage and the support of our fans to play our best match this season thus far. If we succeed in doing so, I am sure we will continue in the same way and cause more surprises. Right now we just need this one.”
