Liu Jo Nordmeccanica Modena captain Jovana Brakočević Canzian said after the match: “I think that we made too many mistakes, especially after losing the first set where we put up a fight from start to end. After that, we were not able to regroup and refocus, and we could not play as good as we did in the first set. Mistakes are normal, but we must avoid repeating the same ones. This evening we were not focussed enough and as a result, we ended up making too many mistakes.”
Dinamo Moscow middle blocker Maja Poljak: “I am very proud of my team, especially since we started the game with some difficulties because in Italy the teams play faster than our opponents do in Russia. We needed some time to adjust and when we started to serve better, we created difficulties to their receivers and, at the same time, we improved our block and defence. I am also very happy because we remained focussed from start to end.”
