VfB Friedrichshafen secured their place among the best 12 teams in the 2018 CEV Champions League by beating the Greek side PAOK Thessaloniki in Round of Pool B. But, is this all that German powerhouse has to show or its players need to improve themselves for the Playoffs 12?
“I am proud of the team, but not very proud. There are still things to improve. But the team did a very good job tonight and we are very glad that we have already made it to the next round,” Friedrichshafen captain Simon Tischer said after the match.
„Of course, even with such a result, as a coach you find things that you can do better. But, it was a very good performance yesterday and we are in the next round. Now, we play at home against Sastamala and then we might deliver a hot duel against Ankara (Halkbank) for the win pool victory,“ Friedrichshafen coach Vital Heynen added.
