The Puerto Rican volleyball federation website published that a 29-year-old middle blocker Lynda Morales signed with the three-time defending champions of Romania, Clubul Sportiv Volei Alba-Blaj, for the second part of the season. Thus, she became the 11th player from the country competing internationally in the 2017/18.

Morales retired from an indoor volleyball after the 2016 Rio Olympics and set off her beach volley career. Her last club before doing so was Cignal HD Spikers from the Philippines.

Earlier, Alba published they have terminated the contract with the Brazilian middle blocker Renata Maggioni by a mutual agreement. She has already returned to her home country where she will recover from an injury that sidelined her in the last two and a half months.

More than one year ago the name of that club changed to CSM Volei Alba Blaj.
