A 19-year-old middle blocker Heidy Casanova, who refused to return to Cuba after the U23 World Championship in Slovenia last summer and decided to stay in this European country, committed herself to the French top division side Entente Sportive du Cannet Rocheville Volley-Ball.
Casanova already made her debut for Le Cannet, making an appearance in the quarterfinals of the national Cup (3-1 vs. SF Paris SC), which was a surprise to many fans as the Ligue A Féminine club did not announce signing the contract with the Cuban youngster.

First to all Casanova is Opposite not MB and second of all, she is not suppossed to play for any club till acomplish 2 years penalty a rule by the Cuban federation and till the day of today still remain. Can u imagine if u can escape like she and his teammate did and monts after they can play again???? in that way everyone in Cuba will not comeback to play. There must be a rule or something that his manager did in order to that girl play again.
Re: @RevanExtasis maybe this is the only way that people in Cuban Volleyball federation come to their senses and stop with their obsolete rules. They could rule the world of volleyball if they were smarter. Imagine Juantoreana, Simon, Leal, Leon, Hernandez in the same team.
