American middle blocker David Smith has officially left Grupa Azoty ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle, bringing an end to a successful six-year stint with the Polish volleyball club. Smith joined ZAKSA in 2019 and played a important role in some of the team’s greatest achievements, including three Champions League titles, and Polish Championship.
His time with ZAKSA marked one of the most successful periods in the club’s history. Smith described the first Champions League victory as a standout moment in his career.
Though his next club has not been officially confirmed, there is growing speculation about a move to Ślepsk Malow Suwałki. His exit follows a broader lineup change at ZAKSA, which also saw the departure of several top players, including Marcin Janusz and Bartosz Kurek.
