The Swiss Alps are buzzing as local beach volleyball duos Hüberli/Kernen and Anouk/Zoé have both reached the semifinals of the Gstaad Elite tournament—guaranteeing Switzerland its first women’s podium finish here since 2012.
After defeating top American and German teams in the quarterfinals, both pairs now stand just one win away from the gold medal match. Anouk and Zoé will take on defending champions Nuss/Brasher from the USA, while Hüberli and Kernen face Latvia’s Graudina and Samoilova.
It’s a huge moment for Swiss volleyball fans. A medal is already secured—but the dream of gold is still very much alive.
