Cuba had a convincing start, taking the first set after 20 minutes of play, 25-17. The fans of Iran were worrying about this start of their team, however, Igor Kolakovic has managed to calm the boys and to give more precise instructions to his players.

As of the second set, Iran played at a much higher level, to keep the first place in Pool D. It seems that they will play against Poland for the top place of the Pool.

Amir Ghafour (14 points) and Mohamad Manavi (13) were the top scorers in Iran, while on the other side Osniel Hernandez had 22 points.

Cuba have three defeats so far and they are in a difficult situation right now.
