WCH 2018 M: Brazil and Italy confirmed their positions

The 5.200 spectators watched the match between Brazil and Belgium in which the „green-yellow“ team celebrated the win and confirmed the leading position in Pool F at the FIVB World Championship 2018.

The reigning Olympic Champions started badly in the match, losing 0-2, but then came back to 2-2 and to an eventual 3-2 (22-25, 23-25, 25-19, 25-15, 15-12), showing why they have won six times the gold medals in the history of the World Championships.  Evandro was the main scorer of the match with 30 points while Sam Deroo was the best in the Belgian team with 19 points.

On the other side, Italy outplayed the Netherlands with 3-1 (16-25, 25-20, 27-25, 25-15) to confirmed the top position in Pool E and that they are one of the big favorites at this World Champs.

Top scorers of the match: Luigi Randazzo 23, Gabriele Nelli 19; Thijs Ter Horst 15, Michael Parkinson 12.

USA – Iran 3-0 (25-23, 26-24, 26-24)

Bulgaria – Canada 2-3 (19-25, 14-25, 25-21, 25-19, 10-15)

Pool H

France – Argentina 3-1 (25-16, 25-20, 26-28, 25-19)

Poland – Serbia 3-0 (25-17, 25-16, 25-14)
