Guillermo Orduna, coach of Argentina – “We are delighted to have the opportunity to take part in this competition and to be playing in Japan. Our aim here is to challenge ourselves in order to keep raising the level of the Argentina team. We want to treat each and every game as an individual challenge.”

Jean René Akono, coach of Cameroon – “We have been preparing for this competition for three months, including almost two months in Europe and a nine-day camp here in Japan. There are many strong teams here and we know it won’t be easy, but the target for us as a team is to keep developing and evolving, and to win as many games as we can.”

Felix Koslowski, coach of Germany – “We are very happy to be participating in this tournament, and for us, it is the next most important competition after the Olympics. It is special to be playing in Japan, where volleyball is very popular, and we have been able to prepare very well with a one-week camp in the country. We are all set to do our best once things start tomorrow.”

Kumi Nakada, coach of Japan “This is the last competition of the season and so we have been making our best preparations for this tournament. We want to give our maximum effort to ensure the best outcome. Our aim is to play aggressive and accurate volleyball in order to achieve a good result. We will do our very best in every match.”

Ricardo de Jesus Naranjo Ponce, coach of Mexico – “We are so happy to be taking part in this competition and this is a big opportunity for the Mexico team. We have spent the past 11 days in Japan preparing and the players are looking forward to starting the tournament. We will be giving our best in every game to achieve the best outcome possible.”

Jamie Morrison, coach of the Netherlands – “We’ve been able to prepare very well for this competition in a local training camp for the past week and the team is excited. They’re like a racehorse that’s been led into the gates, and they’re waiting for somebody to open it. They’re extremely excited to start competing tomorrow.”
