The third place and a bronze medal went to the boys from the United States.

At the start of the game, both sides showed a huge desire to finish the tournament with a bronze medal. After a long battle in the first set, Serbia have managed to win it after being much more focused at the end of the set, 25-23.

There were so many mistakes at the start of the third set, the USA made it fewer and got an 8-5 lead at the first TTO. As it seemed, the Serbian boys didn’t have enough energy to make a comeback and John Speraw’s side easily tied the game.

The third set was a decisive highlight of the game. Serbia had two three points, however, the USA saved them all and in an extended set, they took the lead in sets.

It had an influence on the Serbian boys, who didn’t manage to recover and to push the game to the tie-break. They surrendered and let the USA win the bronze.

Matthew Anderson had a great display, scoring 29 points in this game. It was the second time the USA beat Serbia in this tournament…
