by WoV

USA scored their third victory at the FIVB World Championship and for now are the leaders of Pool C in Kobe.

USA - Korea

USA-KOR

Reigning champions lost one set for now at the championship, and that happened today when South Korea opened the match on the very high level. After they lost the first set, a team of coach Kiraly started to play better, especially in attack and in the important moments who brought them the victory of 3-1.

When we look at the statistic, teams were almost equal in each element (USA/Korea): blocks 8/10, serve 7/8, errors 17/18, attacks 61/50.

The top scorer of the match was Jeongah Park from Korea who finished the match with 26 points while her teammate Yeon Koung Kim scored 17 points. In the winning team, the best scorer was Kelly Murphy with 18 points followed by Rachael Adams who scored 14 points, including 5 blocks.b
