WCH 2018 W: Netherlands and Korea scored wins but Asian team will go home

The last matches of the first stage at the FIVB World Championship 2018 for the Netherlands and South Korea were successful but the Asian team will go home.

Korea outplayed Trinidad &Tobago and that was the only win which Kim and her team won. 

Today’s match was for prestige and Korea won it in straight sets (26-24, 25-16, 25-23). Jeongah Park was the top scorer with 26 points while Channon Thompson and Darlene Ramdin scored 14 points each.

The Netherlands scored their fifth win in Pool A and as the leaders will move to the next stage. Today they outplayed Mexico with 3-0 and Lonneke Sloetjes was the top scorer of the winning team with 12 points followed by b 11 points.

In Mexican team, Andrea Rangel and Samantha Bricio scored 13 points each.

Trinidad & Tobago – Korea 0-3 (24-26, 16-25, 23-25)

Thailand – Azerbaijan (09:10 CET)

Russia – USA  (12:20 CET)

Serbia – Puerto Rico 3-0 (25-23, 25-17, 27-25)

Dominican Republic – Kenya (09:10 CET)

Brazil – Kazakhstan (12:20 CET)
