The world champions Poland (11-4 in the preliminary round, No.5) extended their winning streak in the Nations League to 8 matches, while an 8-game run of Brazil (14-1 in the preliminary round, No.1) came to an end.
As for the match itself, Brazil missed a huge opportunity to take the lead in sets of 2-1 after squandering a 16-11 lead. Poland even got a red card at that moment. But since then, Poland started to play on a really high level, especially in the tie-break when they made a 7-1 run at 7-all, which completely pushed Brazil away from the victory.
