The Netherlands beat Belgium 3-0 (20-25, 15-25, 22-25) to stay on track in the race for a ticket to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
“I think it’s a good start for us. We had some good elements and some bad, so hopefully we’ll learn from them. We’ll get the chance to go out and to fix some things tomorrow against Kenya and then we’ll see what happens. I think that at the end of the first set and during the second we started to play for it, so that was my favourite part,” says Jamie Morrison, the head coach of the Netherlands.
Paola Egonu led the Italian team in the same Pool to the win over Kenya, finishing the match with 15 points. Italy and the Netherlands now have advantage compared with the Belgian and Kenyan team.
