OQT M: Dutch players sell their lives dearly but USA say hello to Tokyo Olympics

In the battle for the top spot in Pool B in Rotterdam, the national team of the United States outplayed the home side by a 3-1 (25-18, 25-20, 17-25, 25-21) and secured their place in the Olympic Games for the 10th straight time.

The players of the Netherlands sold their lives dearly, dropping notable advantage in all three sets which they lost, especially in the second set when they squandered the lead of a 10-6.

 

Matthew Anderson led the scorers of three-time Olympic champions with 18 points, while Maxwell Holt added 5 kill blocks. Nimir Abdel-Aziz scored 23 points for the Dutch side.
