FIVB announces wild card winners and pools composition for 2019 Women’s Club World Championship

The International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) awarded four wild cards for the 2019 Women's Club World Championship and announced pools for the tournament that will be held on December 3-8 in Shaoxing, China.

The FIVB awarded wild cards to the Italian team Imoco Volley Conegliano, two Turkish sides – the defending world champions VakıfBank and Eczacıbaşı VitrA, and Brazilian Dentil/Praia Clube.

These four teams joined other three that secured their berths based on results: Italian side Igor Gorgonzola Novara (2019 CEV Champions League winners), Brazilian Itambé/Minas (2019 South American Championship titleholders) and Chinese Tianjin Bohai Bank (2019 Asian Championship winners).

Guangdong Evergrande earned their place as the tournament hosts.

Pools composition:

Pool A: Guangdong (CHN), Imoco (ITA), Minas (BRA), Eczacıbaşı (TUR)

Pool B: Tianjin (CHN), Novara (ITA), Praia (BRA), VakıfBank (TUR)
