Turkey achieved the win at the end of the third week of the 2021 Women’s VNL in the Rimini bubble (Italy). Prevailing in a thriller against Russia, who was returning twice in the game (trailed 0-1 and 1-2 in sets), the team coached by Giovanni Guidetti improved to 8-1 and redeemed for a surprising defeat against the Dominican Republic yesterday: 3-2 (25-22, 22-25, 25-18, 18-25, 15-7). Ebrar Karakurt stood out in Turkey when it comes to scoring (25 points) and reception (81.3 % digs; 14/16), while Eda Erdem Dündar dominated on the net with as many as 8 blocks (out of the team’s 18).
