With an awe-inspiring personal tally of 33 points, Isabelle Haak was the linchpin for Sweden’s dramatic turnaround. Her sister Anna and Alexandra Lazic each contributed a valuable 12 points, aiding their team’s victory. On the Mexican side, Andrea Rangel topped the score sheet with 22 points, and teammates Grecia Castro and Aimé Topete added 15 and 13 points respectively.
In the second quarterfinal of the day, Colombia displayed their mettle against Kenya, winning 3-1 (25-22, 21-25, 25-23, 25-19), securing their ticket to the semifinals. Colombian duo Ana Karina Olaya and Amanda Coneo excelled, each contributing 17 points to the victory.
