U19 Volleyball World Championship Quarterfinals Unveiled

The FIVB Volleyball Boys’ U19 World Championship has set the stage for thrilling quarterfinal clashes after intense battles in the eighthfinals. Bulgaria, Iran, and Korea emerged victorious from intense five-set matches against Brazil, Serbia, and Argentina, respectively, advancing to the next round. Belgium, Egypt, France, Italy, and the United States also joined the best eight, keeping their dreams alive for the championship.

Korea staged a stunning 3-2 upset against hosts Argentina, with Lee Woojin securing 17 points, while Argentina’s Fausto Diaz delivered a match-high 27 points. The quarterfinals will see Korea facing Italy, who shutout Japan 3-0, led by a 13-point match high from Lorenzo Magliano.

Bulgaria also had a 3-2 victory over Brazil, with standout performances from Kristian Titriyski and Aleksandar Kandev. The Bulgarians will take on the United States, who swept Puerto Rico 3-0, with USA’s Finn Kearney being the best scorer of the game.

Iran’s triumph over Serbia in a 3-2 battle featured five Iranian players reaching double digits in scoring. Their next challenge is Belgium, who emerged victorious in a 3-2 win over Slovenia, with Eliot De Vleeschhauwer leading the charge.

Finally, the remaining quarterfinal clash will pit France against Egypt. Egypt claimed a 3-1 win over Colombia, with Shrief Helawy contributing 20 points, while France dominated Mexico in a 3-0 blowout, led by Adrien Roure with 12 points.
