Turkish volleyball powerhouses, Eczacibasi Dynavit and VakifBank Spor Kulubu, are set to compete for the gold medal at the FIVB Volleyball Women’s Club World Championship this Sunday in Hangzhou. Both teams showcased their prowess in Saturday’s semifinals, overcoming formidable opponents to secure their spots in the final.
Eczacibasi Dynavit faced Brazil’s Dentil Praia Clube in a gripping semifinal match. Despite losing one set, Eczacibasi emerged victorious with a 3-1 win, maintaining their unbeaten streak in the tournament. Tijana Boskovic led the team with an impressive 24 points, contributing significantly to their victory. On the other side, VakifBank Spor Kulubu demonstrated their excellence by securing a straight-set win (3-0) against Tianjin Bohai Bank. Gabriela Guimaraes, the team’s Brazilian outside hitter and captain, was a standout performer, scoring a match-high 17 points.
The stage is set for a spectacular showdown between these two Istanbul giants, promising an exhilarating contest for the championship title.
