Bangkok, Thailand, is set to host the Finals of the Women’s Volleyball Nations League (VNL) 2024, marking a historic first for the country in organizing the prestigious event. The competition will bring together the Thai national team and the seven top teams from the Preliminary Phase, along with volleyball enthusiasts from around the globe, for a grand celebration of the sport from June 20 to 23.
Thailand becomes the fifth nation, following China, Italy, Türkiye, and the United States, to host the VNL Finals. The Finals will return to the iconic Indoor Stadium Huamark, a venue with a capacity of 8,000 that previously hosted VNL matches and FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix events.
The VNL 2024 Finals will kick off with the first two quarterfinals on June 20, followed by the remaining quarterfinals on June 21. The semifinals are set for June 22, leading up to the medal matches on June 23, where the champions will be crowned.
Teams from Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Dominican Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, the Netherlands, Poland, Serbia, Türkiye, and the United States will compete for a spot in the quarterfinals during the first three weeks of the 2024 season. The event will also serve as the last major international competition before the Paris 2024 Olympics, making it a crucial stage for national teams to showcase their skills.
The VNL 2024 will span from May 14 to June 30, featuring 104 matches for each gender across nine countries, underscoring the global appeal and competitive nature of volleyball leading up to the Olympics.
