
The countdown is on! The FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championship 2025 is set to take place in Thailand from August 22 to September 7, and the official match schedule has just been released.
With 32 teams competing for the world title, fans can look forward to 64 thrilling matches across four host cities: Bangkok, Phuket, Chiang Mai, and Nakhon Ratchasima.

Opening Day Action – August 22
The tournament kicks off with an exciting lineup of matches:
🕓 16:00 local time (09:00 UTC)
- Czechia vs. Argentina (Pool D)
- Puerto Rico vs. France (Pool C)
🕔 17:00 local time (10:00 UTC)
- Netherlands vs. Sweden (Pool A)
- Belgium vs. Cuba (Pool B)
Later in the evening:
- Italy, the reigning VNL 2024 champions and Olympic gold medalists, start their campaign against Slovakia at 20:30 (13:30 UTC) in Phuket.
- Host nation Thailand faces Egypt at 20:30 local time in Bangkok, looking to make a statement in front of their passionate home crowd.
On August 23, defending champions Serbia begin their title defense against Ukraine at 20:30 (13:30 UTC) in Pool H.
