Surabaya, Indonesia – The quarterfinal line-up for the 2024 U21 Women’s Volleyball World Championship is officially set, with Italy, Brazil, Argentina, Bulgaria, Poland, China, Turkey, and Japan all securing their spots after dominant performances in the Round of 16.

Italy’s path to the last eight was sealed with a 3-1 victory over hosts Indonesia (25-12, 25-19, 21-25, 25-13). Recovering from a group-stage setback against Turkey, the Azzurrine displayed maturity, focus, and attacking firepower. Adigwe led the charge with an outstanding 27 points, backed by Manfredini (15), Piomboni (12), and Marchesini (10).
Joining them are Brazil, who swept South Korea 3-0, and Argentina, who overcame the Czech Republic in straight sets. Bulgaria also booked their place after beating the USA 3-0, while Poland proved too strong for Puerto Rico, cruising to a 3-0 win. China powered past Thailand without dropping a set, Turkey stunned Serbia with a commanding 3-0 victory, and Japan outplayed Croatia 3-1.
