The Türkiye Women’s National Volleyball Team started their journey at the 2025 FIVB Women’s World Volleyball Championship on a high note, sweeping Spain 3-0 in their first match of Pool E.
The match, held in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, saw Türkiye assert control from the first serve to the last rally. They closed the sets 25-18, 25-20, and 25-23, completing the victory in just 80 minutes. The performance not only secured an early group-stage win but also boosted confidence for the road ahead.
Leading the scoreboard was Yaprak Erkek with 15 points, while Melissa Vargas and Ebrar Karakurt added 14 and 12 points respectively. Additional contributions from Sinead Jack-Kısal (9) and Zehra Güneş (6) underlined the balanced firepower across the squad.
