Serbia kicked off the World Championship in Thailand with a confident 3-0 win over Ukraine (25:21, 25:19, 25:17) in match of the Pool H.
The defending champions wasted no time showing their strength. Tijana Bošković (19 pts) set the tone with decisive points, while Aleksandra Uzelac (15 pts) and Hena Kurtagić (10 pts) added important contributions. From start to finish, Serbia kept firm control, limiting Ukraine’s chances despite their Golden League success earlier this year.
Meanwhile, Poland opened their campaign with a hard-fought 3-1 victory over Vietnam (23:25, 25:10, 25:12, 25:22). Despite a shaky start that saw them drop the first set, the Polish side regrouped quickly. Led by Magdalena Stysiak (29 pts), they regained control and closed out the match confidently.
The victory gives Poland a solid foundation heading into upcoming clashes against Kenya and Germany in Pool G.
