Slovenia lost 3–2 to Bulgaria in their second group-stage match at the World Championship in the Philippines. The match lasted two hours and 20 minutes, with Bulgaria confirming a place in the round of 16, while Slovenia will decide their fate against Germany on Wednesday.

Bulgaria controlled the first two sets (25–19, 25–14), before Slovenia responded by winning the next two (25–18, 25–23). In the deciding fifth set, Slovenia led 11–9, but Bulgaria turned the score around and secured victory 15–13.
