The 2016 Rio Olympics runners-up Serbia had an easy task against the „Yellow Tigers“ in Pool A1, in Ankara, Turkey, which was perfectly reflected by looking at a scoreboard 3-0 (3x 25-18). Thus, the ladies coached by Zoran Terzić joined USA at the front of the table as they both have 3-0. The only difference between these two sides is in the set-ratio – unlike the U.S. National Team who lost two sets so far, Serbia didn’t drop a single one.
Terzić predicted Serbia will not have a worthy opponent today as he left star players like Tijana Bošković, Milena Rašić and Ana Bjelica on the bench. Brankica Mihajlović topped Eastern European side with 16 points, whilst Freya Aelbrecht scored 10 in Belgium who finished Week 1 with a 0-3.
