WCH U20 W: Russia and Japan remain unbeaten in Mexico

The second round of the FIVB Women U20 World Championship in Mexico has started and Russia and Japan are still dominated.

In this phase of the competition the top eight teams will compete in the gold bracket. In Pool E are Russia, Poland, Brazil and Turkey while in Pool F are China, Bulgaria, Japan and USA.

Placing matches take place in Boca del Rio, consisting of pool G with Mexico, Peru, Serbia and Argentina, and pool H of Dominican Republic, Egypt, Italy and Cuba.

Results of the first day of the second round:

Russia – Turkey 3-1 (25-21, 25-22, 13-25, 25-20)

Poland – Brazil 3-0 (25-14, 25- 18, 25-23)

China- USA 3-2 (23-25, 30-28, 25-16, 10-25, 15-13)

Japan – Bulgaria 3-0 (25-16, 25-12, 25-18)

Serbia – Peru 3-0 (25-13, 25-15, 25-19)

Argentina – Mexico 3-0 (25-19, 25-18, 25-15)

Dominican republic – Cuba 3-0 (25-18, 25-17, 25-16)

Italy – Egypt 3-0 (25-17, 25-17, 25-6)
