VNL W: Yingying led China against Dominican girls

The 18-year-old Yingying Li helped China to score the first victory in the inaugural women's FIVB Volleyball Nations League.

The world’s number one team celebrated victory against a brave Dominican Republic team after three sets (25-17, 25-15, 25-11). Zhu Ting didn’t play.

Yingying Li scored 17 points and she was well supported by her teammates Xinyue Yuan (13 points) and Xiaotong Liu (10 points) in the win of the new competition.

On the other side,  ranked 9th in the world was lead by Brayelin Martinez (12 points), Gaila Gonzalez Lopez (6 points) and Jineiry Martinez (4 points).

China faces Belgium in the next round of matches on Wednesday while the Dominican Republic takes on Korea.
