Tours-vs-Tourcoing

After suffering defeats in all three games since the beginning of the 2019/20 Ligue A Masculine regular season, Tours showed their strength that drove them to a title last season against none other than leaders in the charts Tourcoing: 3-0 (25-18, 25-16, 25-20). Despite the worst start to the season in more than 20 years, Tours’ fans did not turn their back on players, filling the stands of the Robert Grenon hall nearly to the top (2,500 spectators). Led by Hermans Egleskalns, Tours downed Tourcoing, who was undefeated prior to the match and was looking down from the top of the table to all the other teams in the league. Latvian opposite hitter scored 22 points through amazing attack success rate of 82% (18/22)!

Nantes Rezé prevented Sète to take the provisional lead in the charts by recording a 3-2 away win. Slovakian opposite hitter Peter Michalovič really stands out for Nantes this season. He delivered 18 points today, while Belarussian-Russian duo Vasyl Tupchii and Vyacheslav Tarasov scored 47 points combined. Tupchii scored 24, while Tarasov made one point less.
