European-Volleyball-Gala
In the traditional ceremony that follows drawing of lots for the group stage of both Men’s and Women’s Champions League, the European Volleyball Gala, held in Sofia, Bulgaria, the CEV presented annual awards for the best achievements in an indoor and beach volleyball. Some of those achievements were not made in only in 2019 but also in the recent past.
The honors in indoor volleyball went to the following individuals:
Men’s Volleyball Team Coach of the Year: Slobodan Kovač (SRB)
Women’s Volleyball Team Coach of the Year: Massimo Barbolini (ITA)
Male Volleyball Player of the Year: Uroš Kovačević (SRB)
Female Volleyball Player of the Year: Tijana Bošković (SRB)
Lifetime Achievement Award: Neslihan Demir Güler (TUR)
Lifetime Achievement Award: Francesca Piccinini (ITA)
Lifetime Achievement Award: Bas van de Goor (NED)
Lifetime Achievement Award: Dimitar Karov (BUL)
Lifetime Achievement Award: Dancho Lazarov (BUL)
