The Women’s (2019/20 Ligue A Féminine) and Men’s Championship (2019/20 Ligue A Masculine) are over, the Ligue Nationale de Volley decided. Thus, France joined the majority of the countries that terminated all volleyball activities due to the new COVID-19 pandemic. Recall that the competitions had been suspended since March 13, two rounds before the end of the regular season.
The LNV didn’t award titles, while the allocation of places for European cups next season will be based on the ranking in the regular season. As for the women’s league, the first two teams in the charts are qualified in the CEV Champions League, the third team and the winner of the French Cup are qualified in the CEV Cup, while the fourth team is qualified in the CEV Challenge Cup.
In the men’s league, the first team is qualified in the CEV Champions League, the second team and the winner of the French Cup are qualified for the CEV Cup. Finally, the teams classified in third and fourth place in the ranking are qualified in the CEV Challenge Cup.
