French women’s volleyball giants Cannes (2 CEV Champions League, 21 national championships, and 20 national Cups) changed the head coach.

Italian Filippo Schiavo is the new head coach of the unofficial bronze medalists of the last season’s Ligue A Féminine, Cannes. The 36-year-old expert came from Lardini Filottrano at whose helm he was in the previous two years.

Schiavo succeeded in his compatriot Riccardo Marchesi (sat on the bench of Poland’s E.Leclerc Radomka Radom). This will be the second time that Schiavo will be working in the French top division. Four years ago, the young expert was a member of the coaching staff of Le Cannet. Cannes will compete in the next year’s CEV Cup.
