The French disappointed the home crowd at Baskent Volleyball Hall by shutting out the local heroes Turkey by 3-0 (25-21, 25-22, 27-25) and claiming the last vacant spot in Saturday’s semifinals.

Thibault Rossard’s attacks were responsible for two of France’s last three points in the match and also for his emergence as the best scorer of the match with 15 points.  Turkey’s top scorer Gokhan Gokgoz finished with one fewer – 14.
