Venelles ran over weak Quimper in straight sets 29-27, 25-17, 25-12. Captain Benicio recorded 14 points and was joined by Matos and Callo with 13 and 12 respectively.

In other matches Le Cannet got away win at Evreux (1-3), Beziers blew Hainaut at home by straigth sets. while Nantes suffered a heavy loss at home from Mulhouse (0-3).
