Montpellier had a hard moments in the Marmara SpikeLigue, squeezing past Paris 3–2 after falling behind 2–1.
Their narrow win, however, wasn’t enough to stay alone in front. Tours cruised past Saint-Nazaire in straight sets and moved level with Montpellier on points, taking the lead on set ratio.
Behind them, Tourcoing edged Chaumont in another five-set battle, keeping pressure on the top teams while leaving Chaumont anchored to last place. Le Plessis-Robinson also strengthened its spot in the top four with a clean sweep in Ajaccio.
Poitiers slipped after a loss in Narbonne despite a promising start, and Toulouse closed the night with its second victory of the season, a 3–0 win over Sète.
