Montpellier opened the 2025/26 Marmara Spike League finals with a straight-sets win over Poitiers, taking Game 1 on the road 25-18, 25-22, 25-17.
Montpellier controlled the match from the outset, with Simon Hirsch leading all scorers with 15 points, including three aces. Tomas Lopez Pascual added 13, while Ezequiel Palacios and Nicolas Le Goff chipped in 11 and 9, respectively.
Thomas Pujol led the hosts with 17 points, but the team struggled to keep pace.
Game 2 is set for May 8 in Montpellier.
