Just like in 2005, Paris Volley inflicted painful defeat, in three sets (25-20, 28-26, 25-23) in “Pierre-de-Coubertin” gymnasium to claim their national title number nine.
Sète dominated throughout regular season and were unbeaten in the playoffs until finals, but this time were in counter rhythm all the time, only showing positive aspects of play late in the second set. On the other hand, sixth-seeded Paris made up to their fans for last season’s fail in the finals.
Canadian Nicholas Hoag topped Paris’ scorers with 15 points. Marien Moreau had 12 in Sète.
